My Bocking 14 comfrey is grown in a PRIVATE organic food forest in the Pacific Northwest as a food source for hummingbirds, bees, pollinators and as green manure for my garden. 🐝🐞🦋. It is non-invasive.

Comfrey is a beautiful herbaceous, perennial plant with large green leaves and purple bell-shaped flowers that grows deep roots down into the earth allowing the plant to absorb nutrients that will be deposited in its leaves. It attracts hummingbirds, bees and other pollinators and can grows 4-5 feet tall, 3- feet in diameter.

Comfrey roots and leaves helps new skin cells grow, as well as reduce inflammation, heal bruises, pulled muscles and ligaments, fractures, sprains, strains and osteoarthritis. It is used topically in infused oils, body salves, etc. It is also used as plant fertilizer and animal fodder, as well.

A fertilizing tea can also be made by allowing comfrey leaves to steep in a container of water for several weeks. The fertilizer tea should be diluted around 14 parts water to one part tea before use on plants as it is now concentrated.
